Designed by Parsons School of Design student Viktoriya Braginksy for Nachtmann, this intriguing Slice vase has a fresh, spirited style that also conveys a wonderfully sophisticated elegance. The sparkling nonleaded crystal vase features an asymmetric spiral motif that stacks angle upon angle of heavy, clear glass to catch and reflect the light for a modern visual impact. The thick, solid base brings added dimension to the overall look with its generous cut and scooped shape. Measuring 10 inches high, Slice is perfect for showcasing bouquets of longer-stemmed flowers like roses, lilies, or mixed winter boughs. A matching votive is also available. A group of students participating in the contest were taken to Germany on a tour of the Riedel Glassworks factories to spark their creativity, and Viktoriya Braginsky won the award with this modern design, which reflects the talent of this young American artist.
